Whenever I go outside, I invite myself to find my feet on the earth and allow my senses to wander and play. I wait to see what catches my heart and I reach for it. The goal is to connect. To connect differently from how I connect within the confines of walls or the context of “working”. The goal is to let every part of me sink into a single breath that reminds me “this is home”. This little gem from my front yard made its way into my studio to become a part of some new artful adventure very soon. We need this. We need to be with the earth and then watch how it shapes us and transforms our art making into something a little more or a little less. Something new. 🌿
