This past week, a client worked through a heavy emotion and found herself wishing for more lightness, so I invited her into a mindfulness exercise where she connected with her body and breath and found that lightness in her body. Then I invited her to go around her space and find any art materials that she felt could help her bring that feeling into a creative exploration. I started with bubbles and played with them for some time. Eventually, I reached for my watercolours and that’s when the magic began. It was one exploration after another and I found myself feeling playful, curious and deeply connected to the lightness within me as I witnessed my client honour her own. I stayed with the bubbles and paint and watched as the piece continued to transform. This is the gift of intuitive art making. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving. To receive we need only open ourselves to the pull of possibility. 🫧🎨
