Aaahh, sisters! This page has been a long time coming. I've worked with so many incredible women in a variety of contexts and I've had the honour and privilege of witnessing the most breathtaking artwork emerge in so many forms, ma shaa Allah. Every time I experience the beauty of these pieces of art and poetry, I think to myself, "Oh how I wish these could be shared with other women who I know would love to be inspired and moved and uplifted by such remarkable whisperings of the soul." I'm thrilled to finally be bringing this vision to life. My intention is to create a place where we can share our imperfect art and reflections on our creative process. We are not here to display our art skills or talents. In fact, no one needs to know a lick about art or have any previous experience. This is about taking risks and allowing ourselves to try something new. The goal is for each of us to share about our art making through the lens of childlike awe and wonder as we begin to notice how we learn about ourselves in the world of imagination and play as well the unique ways each of us grows through the gift of art-making. This special space is here so we can come together to be messy, to let go of our need for control and perfection, and to connect with like-hearted sisters who are also on beautifully blessed journeys of creative self-discovery, in shaa Allah. I am so excited to hold this space for all of us and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us. Bismillah!
